Ugandan Comedienne - Anne Kansiime Imprisoned In England
Fans of Ugandan comedian Ann Kansiime were in a state of shock after a sensational report claiming the comedian has been arrested at Heathrow Airport while trying to smuggle cocaine into England started circulating.
The hoax story spread like wild fire on social media with many fans falling for it.
The rumor had it that the singer uses her frequent European tours to smuggle the drugs and that’s why she's getting so much money from her tours.
It also claimed she was arrested with 2 Kgs of drugs worth almost KSh 10 million.
"After all, how could she amass those many gigs with the recent creativity block she was hit by," read the article that was posted on a UK website.
"There is no problem," Kansiime said.
"Haters are the ones trying to come up with such stories. I will come up with an official communication on my page as soon as I can".

"Am safe," said Kansiime in an interview with Ugandan blog Howwe.biz on February 16.
"Am not in prison, I am actually at National theater preparing for my tonight’s show."
