Shocking Details Of How Miguna Miguna Was To Be Assassinated

Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna has revealed shocking details of how hired goons planned to kill him in January 2017.

Mr Miguna alleged that the accused assassin identified as Canscious Oteng’ was allegedly hired by Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero among other powerful people.

In his revelation, the Canadian-based lawyer mentioned that Oteng' was part of a gang of five who were given firearms with strict instructions to take him out.

The outspoken politician highlighted that after the gang surveyed his Nairobi home they decided to kill him on the road using two probox vehicles.

However, the ploy was disrupted after one of the assailants decided to report the matter to the police.

"A co-conspirator broke rank and reported the matter to the police on January 15, 2017. He asserted in a detailed Statement to the Police that five of them had been hired, given firearms, instructions to kill me and paid. They had surveilled my Nairobi home but decided to kill me on the road using two Toyota Probox vehicles. That was before his conscience stopped him from proceeding with the plot and he went to the Police," Miguna disclosed.

Oteng' was before HomaBay Court on Monday and the other suspects are being sought.

Miguna urged the Police and Director of Public Prosecutions to carry out proper investigations and prosecute the criminal offenders.

"I urge them to take their work seriously and not allow themselves to be compromised by anyone and to arrest everyone involved. No one is above the law," Miguna said.
